This eclectic assemblage of mini-musical pieces were conceived, written, and performed by John Keaton in 2011. The 28 tracks presented here reflect the artist’s attempt at creating musical atmospheres and elevating them to the spiritual.. All of life begins with a cry as evidenced here on the opening track, “ Hope”. The pieces that follow are sonic explorations of Biblical themes: “Gethsemane”, “Flight Into Egypt”, “Judas Iscariot” ,”In A Spirit of Love”, ”Herod’s Temple”, ”Easter Sunday” and the soaring and glorious “Lamb Of God.” The album features musical forays into a Celtic Theme ,The Orient, Africa and even the bayous of the deep South. The phrase “ Watching Miracles Surround “ is taken from a song that John wrote in 1980. It refers to the eternal struggle between the material and spiritual worlds.
